GOP mega-donor Ken Griffin stated that it was time for the Republican Party’s departure from Former President Donald TrumpLook for a new leader in your party.
POLITICO interview: Griffin said he supported Trump’s fiscal policies. However, he felt that the party should be more inclined to other GOP stars.

Trump has indicated repeatedly that he will run again for the White House in 2024. This was evident at a Saturday campaign rally in Pennsylvania, where he was supporting Dr. Mehmet Oz and Doug Mastriano for Senate.

Citadel’s CEO, Griffin, supports Florida Republican. Gov. Ron DeSantisHis name was also mentioned as a possible 2024 presidential candidate.
According to the businessman, he was against DeSantis’s moves as governor. These included flying migrants to Martha’s Vinyard, and revoking Disney World’s tax special status due to Disney World’s opposition to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education legislation.
Griffin stated, “I have no reservations about the very public fight but the revocation Disney’s special tax area felt like retribution.”

“I think it’s time for America to move on,” Griffin told Bloomberg TV last year, adding that Trump is “pointlessly divisive.”
Griffin has a long history of spending money on conservative causes, and has spent more than $60million in support of Republican candidates. He did spend the same amount of money supporting Republican candidates in 2020, but he did not directly donate to Trump’s campaign. However, he did donate $100,000 to the inaugural committee of former President Trump.
