Kanye West’s Twitter Account Suspended by Elon Musk

  • Ye, formerly Kanye West’s rapper, has been removed from Twitter.
  • Elon Musk confirmed the suspension by tweeting that he did his best to help the rapper.
  • Ye made numerous antisemitic comments both in interviews and on Twitter.

Ye, the rapper previously known as Kanye West has been suspended by Elon Musk from Twitter.

“I tried my best. He violated again our rule against incitement towards violence. Musk: “Account will be suspended.” TweetThursday night. At press time, Ye’s tweets weren’t available on his Twitter account page.

This suspension follows a series heated online exchanges between Ye & Musk. Ye made antisemitic remarks in interviews throughout the week. He also shared a series of controversial tweets including one showing a swastika overlayed over the Star of David.

“Sorry, you’ve gone too far. This isn’t love,” Musk wrote Ye to respond to the image. Ye tweeted a screenshot of their conversation that Ye had shared before his suspension.

Ye replied in the text exchange, as the screenshot shows.

Ye also shared screenshots on Truth Social — Donald Trump’s social media site — of his text conversation with Musk. In that text exchange was also included a screenshot taken from Ye’s Twitter account, which indicated that he had been given a 12-hour Twitter timeout.

Ye seemed to have known his suspension was imminent. On Thursday, Ye posted an unflattering photo of Musk on a yacht with the caption “Let’s all always remember this as my last tweet #ye24.” 

Since Musk’s birth, Ye and Musk have been at odds on Twitter. We welcomed Ye back on Twitter on November 20,. After he had posted the lyrics, his account was suspended on October 10, for two weeks. Posted antisemitic comments.

Ye also launched an antisemitic tirade against Alex Jones, far-right provocateur on “Infowars”, Thursday. He also criticized Alex Jones’ “Infowars” show. Featured alongside Nick Fuentes, a white nationalistHe spoke often about his love for Hitler, the Nazis, and his desire to be a part of their future.

Insider asked Musk and Twitter representatives for comments but did not receive any response. Insider was not immediately contacted by a Ye lawyer.
