Japan experiences an unprecedented typhoon that slams on shore. It causes power outages and huge evacuations.

Typhoon Nanmadol gets slammedOn Sunday, thousands of people were forced to evacuate from southern Japan after they poured onto the shores of Japan.

The Japan Meteorological Agency stated that A typhoon was forecastto create wind and waves that were “unprecedented” and advised residents to evacuate the affected areas.

Kagoshima was the first city to be hit by the typhoon. It is located in Kyushu, a south-eastern island of Japan.

According to the meteorological office, there could be around 20 inches of rain in the area by Monday. Residents in Kagoshima were advised by the agency to stay inside and to move to higher floors if there are high-level warnings of storms and high waves.

The typhoon had a maximum sustained wind speed of 101 mph in the past.

Multiple people were affected by the damage caused by the Typhoon. NHK television reported that 15 people were among them. A high wind storm caused glass windows to break in a gymnasium, resulting in one woman being injured.

Typhoon Nanmadol, which is traveling northeast through Japan’s northeast, will likely weaken and arrive in Tokyo Tuesday.

Through Tuesday, hundreds of domestic flights were cancelled due to the typhoon. Suspension of trainsThere are also buses that go to various areas on the Kyushu island.
