Jack Grealish made fun of Ruben Dias, Manchester City’s teammate. Erling Haaland was stunned by the FIFA 23 ratings.
Cole Palmer, Nathan Ake and Grealish joined Haaland as they took part in a game. Guess the ratingsBefore the new version of this popular computer game is released.
Haaland faced off against Dias, the defender, and Rodri the Spanish midfielder in the physical statistics category. Ake Palmer and Grealish were each given the task of guessing the player with the highest rating.
Haaland was certain that his would be high. “I think it will be 88 [out of 100].
Grealish then cheekily replied: “I think he should be higher because of the way he bodied Ruben a few years ago.
Grealish was talking about the Champions League quarter-final match between Grealish and CityHaaland, then Borussia Dortmund’s, in 2021.
Pep Guardiola’s side advanced to the semi-final 4-2 on aggregate but not before a scare, with the Bundesliga side making a game of it.
Haaland, despite not being on the scoresheet, was his usual menacing self throughout the tie. Dias got the runaround during the tie, including one at the Etihad when he easily knocked his opponent over.
Haaland was subsequently revealed as 87 for strength and when asked if he thought he’d be higher than midfielder Rodri, the striker joked: “If [Rodri’s stats are] higher, I will leave.”
Rodri scored an 84, but it was Dias, defender, who started the banter by scoring a total of 88. This sparked a shock reaction from Haaland as well as a joke from Grealish.
“Did you not see what Erling done to him two-years ago in the Champions League?,” Grealish responded.
City will be pleased to have Haaland join them now, as he helped defeat his former employers in round two of Champions League matches.
He scored a late goal in City’s 2-1 win over Dortmund at the Etihad.
Alexander Meyer was unable to stop the Norway international from directing a volley to his third Champions League goal.
The 22-year old has scored 11 Premier League goals in seven of his first seven matches. He hopes to lead City to a Premier League/Champions League double.
And Dias will be one man glad he’s no longer facing him.
