Black Panther can be handed down to a new character in Marvel Cinematic Universe. The sequel will focus on the transition after the death of T’Challa.
While it is certain that a new Wakandan hero will emerge, its identity remains a mystery. One of the Black Panther actresses now has information about the confirmed replacement.
After the huge panel by Marvel Studios at San Diego Comic-Con, multiple media outlets asked Letitia about Shuri’s character. They wanted to know if she will be replacing Black Panther as the Wakandan princess in future MCU sequels.
If asked by MTV NewsJosh Horowitz asked Shuri if she was wearing the Black Panther suit in the trailer. Wright said no, and suggested that everyone just see the movie. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but November 11th, you get your ticket,” she said.
Recent interview with EmpireWright was once again asked if Shuri would replace Black Panther in Black Panther, Wakanda Forever.
The actress shared that she and Coogler explored the possibility of Shuri taking on the role of Black Panther when they were filming their first movie.
Wright claims that Black Panther is “something she really looked forward too,” but she can’t give any definitive answers.
The movie will be released on November 11, 2022.
