In post-game celebration, Pacers’ Aaron Nesmith slips onto wet flooring

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith had a clutch game in their 114-113 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday, but the celebration of the victory could’ve gone a little better.

Nesmith scored 19 points in 25 minutes off the bench. He was 5-of-10 and had three rebounds. He was one six players to reach double figures in Indiana’s 9-5 season record. Nesmith was speaking to a reporter as his teammates chatted after the game. Tyrese HaliburtonT.J. McConnell ran over to pour water onto his head.

Nesmith tried escape but the wet floor caused Nesmith to slip and fall.

He said “Come on”, as McConnell, Haliburton, and McConnell left laughing.

Rick Carlisle, Indiana coach, gave Nesmith high praise after the game.

“After missing a couple of free throws in the game last night, I think he made all four of ‘em tonight and made some threes,” Carlisle said. He was so into it. We couldn’t have won the game without him.”

As the Pacers extended their winning streak of four games, Haliburton scored 22 points and provided 14 assists to Haliburton.

Haliburton stated, “We’re going though this as a team for the first time but it’s happening over-and-over where we’re in close game down the stretch.” “You just have to sort of figure it all out on the fly. As a group, we’re improving together.”
