Illinois police release the names of five family members who were found dead at home. This includes two children.

Thursday’s release by authorities of the names of five family members and two children included in their families was a relief. Found dead in a Chicago-area houseThis week. 

Buffalo Grove Police Chief Brian Budds announced Thursday that officers with the Buffalo Grove Police Department were summoned to the home to check on the mother. He stated that officers forced their way into the house and discovered five bodies. 

Budds expressed sadness that the community must continue to grieve for this tragic event.

Buffalo Grove police were dispatched to a single-family residence in the 2800 block of Acacia Terrace for a call of a well-being check on a woman. Inside they found five dead family members, including two young children and an animal, police said.

Investigators believe that the Domestic killings are common

Thursday’s victims were Lilia Kisliak (67); Andrei Kisliak (39); Vera Kisliak (36); Vivian Kisliak (6; and Amilia Kisliak (4 years old) Another animal was also found at the scene. 

The Lake County coroner stated that autopsies showed that the five victims died of blunt force injuries.

Authorities refused to reveal who or what weapon caused the injuries. Vera Kisliak applied for protection orders during August and September, and filed for divorce on July. Fox Chicago reported.  

Budd claimed that Vera Kisliak was called by a co-worker, and this led to the discovery the five family members.

He declined to comment about reports from nearby residents that the police had visited the Kisliak residence in the past month. According to a Chicago-Sun-Times report, a local resident called the police August after being concerned about Andrei Kisliak’s treatment of the children.
