The International Indian Film Academy Awards, (IIFA), will return to Abu Dhabi in February. Salman Khan is once again leading an Indian contingent.
Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan will also be there, along with Karan Johar, the director and producer, for the event which is taking place in the capital of the country for the second year.

Due to popular demand, Abu Dhabi was chosen for IIFA again.
Noreen Khan, vice president of IIFA said, “Everyone truly had a wonderful time this year in Abu Dhabi and so we are pleased and excited to bring it all back again but with much more magic to come next year.”
The event’s dates are yet to be announced, but tickets will be available from Friday.

The event, which was originally scheduled for May but was postponed due to the death of Sheikh Khalifa in May, took place this year at Etihad arena on June 3-4.
It was first held in Abu Dhabi, and it was again held in the U.A.E. It was first held in Dubai in 2006.
Several of the biggest Indian stars performed during the IIFA Weekend & Awards over the course of two days, with the final night’s ceremony honoring many of the best actors and films from the previous year.
The event was kicked off with IIFA Rocks on June 3, featuring performances by top music artists. The main awards gala took place on June 4. It featured performances by Sara Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Ananya Panday.
Salman Khan was the host of the main event, alongside Riteish Deshmukh & Maniesh Paul.
According to IIFA, the event attracted more than 20,000 people over two days.
