Hugh Jackman acknowledges that he’s not like Wolverine. Here’s why

Hugh Jackman, actor, spoke out about his role that changed his life and brought him fame. Hugh Jackman, who played the role of the fictional Wolverine in Marvel Comics’ first X-Men movie two decades ago, made Hugh a household name. The actor admits now that he is not the mutant superhero his fans often think of.

He said, “I think it’s important for me to be pushed into areas where I don’t know if I can pull it off. I’ve never felt safe as an actor.”

Recent interview with IndieWire, the 53-year-old Academy Award nominee said, “When I was getting into this business, the playbook for being a movie star was being mysterious.”

“Don’t let anybody in. They will want more. Don’t reveal things. Project a certain image.” Hugh continued by saying that this concept has changed with time. Hugh stated that he believes it is incumbent on someone like him to speak with vulnerability and express anxiety.

“Of course, I’d rather go through the things that everybody goes through rather than projecting some idealized version of myself. I am trying to do that more publicly,” the MCU star added.

Jackman says he is closer to Peter Miller in his film, which will be about a father trying to rebuild his life and care for his child.
