Willow loves her family, particularly Percy, her younger brother. Willow aspires to follow in Percy’s footsteps. She cuddles up to him on the couch and follows him while he gazes out the window.
Percy and Willow believe they are the same. Willow doesn’t know that Percy is an adorable, enormous pit bull, and she is also a tiny kitty.
“They would run around the house together and [Percy] would sit on the small cat tree to be her height,” Willow and Percy’s mom, Socorro Jaramillo, told The Dodo. “Eventually, [Willow] started trying to get up with him.”
Jaramillo initially had his doubts about Willow’s intent on ascending. She has come to accept the quirky nature of her dog over time. Jaramillo is actually very proud of Willow and her well-behaved animals.
Jaramillo reached out to Willow in January 2020 when she was only a few weeks old. Willow quickly got to know her siblings. There was Percy and Klaus, an older cat, and Spike, a Chihuahua who was nine years old.
It didn’t take Willow long to start emulating the actions of her younger siblings.
“After about a week of living together full-time, we started noticing Willow copying Klaus and Spike’s habits,” Jaramillo said. “Since they’re both small, they could climb up on the couch and were able to jump up to the window nook from there. They did it a few times. [Willow] jumped up to be with her brothers were a struggle, and we’d have to help her down, but after some practice, she was up and down by herself with no problem.”
Willow is known for being curious and affable. Willow is a great friend to her siblings and anyone she meets.
“I consider her to be a giant baby,” Jaramillo said. “She follows us everywhere we go in the house and almost always has to be laying on us. She loves humans with her entire being and has a constant wiggle butt whenever she meets a new person.”
Willow is happy wherever her family is. The devoted puppy demonstrates that size and species don’t matter in terms of friendship.
