How to Update Google Play Store on Android

  • Android should be updated automatically with the Google Play Store and all Android applications  
  • Open the Play Store’s Settings menu. Next, scroll down to the About section and tap Update Play Store. 
  • The Network preferences menu in the Play Store Settings menu can be used to configure the Play Store so that all apps are automatically updated.

Your Android device will update your apps and the OS automatically, so you don’t have to do anything. You will always have the most recent software, including security updates and bug fixes, on your tablet or phone. Sometimes you might want to update your phone immediately. 

This is especially true for the Play Store app, which, among other tasks, manages and updates all other apps on your device. Perhaps the automatic updates settings have been disabled, and you wish to restore it so that everything can be updated again automatically. Here are the steps.

1. Get started Play Store app.

2. Tap on your Account iconAt the top right

3. Select the option you want from the menu Settings.

4. You can find the Settings Page, tap About.

5. Take a look at the Version for Play Store section. Tap to see if there is an update. Play Store Update.

If an update is available, you will see a link to download it from the Play Store.

How to automatically update all your Android apps

You are putting your Android phone at risk by turning off your automatic updates. Your Android tablet or phone will not get the latest security patches and updates. You can set your Android device to automatically update all apps if you prefer not to manually check for updates.

1. Get started Play Store app.

2. Tap on your Account iconAt the top right

3. Select the option you want from the menu Settings.

4. Tap the Preferences for networkThen tap. Apps that auto-update.

5. Choose whether you wish to update in the pop-up window Wi-Fi is the only optionOder Any network.(which will also update over your cell connection).
