How it feels to work for Facebook’s Customer Services

1. What is it like to be at the forefront of Facebook’s customer complaints? Insider was able to speak with a Meta customer support agent who works for a third party firm. He described how it feels to work with customers. There are many ways to get insomnia.. Here’s what she said to us:

  • Through Teleperformance, she works as an agent for Meta. Every day she receives around 20 cases from businesses, celebrities and creators who rely on Facebook or Instagram for their livelihoods. 
  • She claimed that she was often unable or unwilling to assist customers. Support agents are forbidden from using negative words, such as “sorry”, “unfortunately” and “sorry”.
  • Agent said that she has received threats of death and was threatened with being sued. Chronic insomnia that she has been suffering from is also a result of her job stress.

2. Platforms such as TikTok and Instagram are competing for e-commerce dollars. At the start of the year, companies were determined to bring social and livestream shopping to US customers — and while some have succeeded, others have shown mixed results. Here is the current state of play.

3. Next year, Netflix will begin charging for password sharing.Account holders will need to pay an additional fee for family and friends who wish to access their accounts in the early 2023.Consider how high the price rise could be.

4. Zoom video of a Gopuff representative telling workers that their jobs were eliminated Over 200 Gopuff customer service employees were laid off last week. Reddit user Zoom posted a Zoom video in which a representative for the company stated that their positions were “terminated immediately”. More information on this here.

5. Oracle employees believe that the new restrictions on hiring are making it harder for them to retain their staff. The hiring managers were asked to delay the start dates of new recruits. In addition, there has been significant reductions in hiring across multiple business units. You can read the whole story here.

6. An actor from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, had a disappointing Tesla experience. Glenn Howerton, a podcast host, stated that he was locked out his Tesla after his key fob failed. He also said that it was difficult to reach customer service. Tesla “lost a customer.”

7. WhatsApp is an “urgent” growth source for Facebook. WhatsApp, which was purchased a decade ago by Facebook for $22 billion has not become a large business. WhatsApp is aiming to be a “superapp”, despite its slowing growth in revenue and users, and the stock’s decline. Here’s how to find out.

8. Jeff Bezos has responded to criticisms regarding his investments into space travel. Bezos spoke to people asking why he invested so much in space. He said that space travel is not to abandon our home but to protect it. Here’s more from him.
