Houston police discover father killed in shooting, 2-year-old found dead in the backseat of an SUV.

Houston, Texas: A shooting resulted in the deaths of a father and son. Later, he was found deadAccording to the Houston Police Department, they were about a mile away in an SUV.

“This is what we did the hardest,” said Larry Satterwhite, Executive Assistant Chief of Staff during Tuesday’s press conference. He was referring his team’s discovery of the child who had died.

He said that finding deceased children is “the most difficult thing we do, and… the hardest thing that I’ve ever tried,”

The shooting was first reported to authorities on Tuesday afternoon, near the 5500 block. El Camino Del ReyThe scene was rushed to the aid of a 38-year old man who had been found dead.

Satterwhite explained that the victim and suspect had “some sort of interaction…may be random or could have known one another,” adding that the investigation was still at its infancy.

The victim’s identity was not provided at the evening presser. Although officers stated that the victim was wearing security uniforms, they did not specify which type.

The investigation took a turn for the worse after Houston police spoke with the victim’s spouse, Who was the one who informed officersHer husband, a father of their 2-year-old son, left her and said that he was going to “someone to meet with”.

She also provided details about the make of the SUV which were “quickly” located by police after scouring the area. It was located approximately one mile away, near 5900 Elm St.

Officers arrived on the scene and found the 2-year old dead in the SUV’s back seat.

Investigators believe the suspect murderedSatterwhite claimed that the father then stole his SUV. The suspect then took it away, leaving behind the child who, according to him, may have died from heat-related causes.

The suspect’s name is also unknown, and police are not sure if they are from the city.

Satterwhite, echoing an earlier comment by Commander Adrian Rodriguez, said, “Turn yourself inside, turn yourself in right now.”

Satterwhite stated that video surveillance is in place at the site and that they will soon be sending images of the suspect, as there hasn’t been an arrest yet.
