The Dance of Dragons, a Targaryen civil war which took place nearly two centuries before the final of the first season of House of the DragonIt is now as inevitable as the imminent attack by the Night King and his army from the dead.
After the brief battle for Storm’s End’s skies in which Aemond One Eyee and Vhaghar, Rhaenyra’s dragon, killed Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys Velaryon’s son, the Blacks and Greens will be at odds in Season 2. The realm will be affected by the loss of cool caused by the Lady of Seven Kingdoms, who has just been crowned.

Here’s a recent interview. Digital SpyBethany Antonia, the actress who plays Baela Targaryen (the girl of Daemon, Laena) has suggested that season 2 will be similar to going to war.
“We’re going to war, aren’t we? We’re going to war. [Rhaenyra]She did her damnedest. You see? She did so much. I am so excited for what’s to come. We are going to war, and that’s it,” she said.
Even though Aemond wasn’t entirely to blame for Lucerys’ death, no one will listen to him out now—especially not the vengeful Rhaenyra.
As it stands now, all of this is still some time away. House of the DragonIt plans to start filming its second season early in 2023. The premiere date would be anywhere from early to late 2024.
Fans of Westeros will have to wait a while!
