The controversial defamation case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is the subject of a new movie, “Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial,” set to debut exclusively on Tubi.

Hot Takes This film will show the love story between Depp, Heard and their intense US court case which lasted for over two months.
Melissa Marty will portray Camille Vasquez (Depp’s attorney), while Mary Carrig will portray Elaine Bredehoft (Heard’s attorney). Guy Nicolucci wrote the screenplay, and Sara Lohman directed it.
According to Tubia’s chief content officer, Adam Lewinson, the movie was rushed into production by MarVista and Tubi “to capture a timely take on a story that became part of the cultural zeitgeist, painting a unique picture of what millions watched play out in the headlines over the summer.”
Hannah Pillemer (EVP creative of affairs at MarVista), said, “Moreover,”Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial is one of many timely, culturally relevant original movies to come from our expanding partnership and slate of movies being produced in collaboration with Tubi.”
According to some reports, the movie will be available by September end.
