Hold my beer: A bar owner sprints to get runaway barrels of kegs in this hilarious video

This might have been a beer drinker’s worst nightmare.

After a bar owner was seen sprinting, he was captured on video. runaway beer kegsIt began to roll down the street.

Dan McCallion owns The Abercorn Bar, Londonberry, Northern Ireland — and got himself in a pickle when he noticed that his keg barrels were rolling down the street.

The 56 year-old had placed empty keg barrels outside of his house.

The wind picked up, and the barrels were blown down the street.

After hearing an odd rattling noise, McCallion — who had been Inside the bar — decided to go outside and investigate. 

He stepped outside to find the kegs already rolling down the road.

McCallion can also be seen running from his bar to the street following the barrels in security camera footage. 

McCallion takes off in a sprint to catch the barrels before they hit a car or cause a crash. 

McCallion races to catch the barrels, before they hit a vehicle or cause a collision.

He said, “I believed it could have caused severe damage to parked vehicles or caused a collision if they hadn’t stopped me.”

As an avid cycler, McCallion said he luckily had the leg strength to catch up with the kegs — but he took a tough tumble himself.

The footage shows the owner tripping, falling to the ground — while still managing to grab the kegs with his arms and legs.

“I went down for one, but I lost my footing,” he stated.

“I grabbed the thing and it stopped. Then I threw my legs out and stopped it.”

McCallion noted that he did sprain his ankle and hurt his shoulder — but today he finds comic relief in watching the video of himself chasing the rolling barrels. 

I suffered a minor injury to my ankle and shoulder from the fall. He said that he only began to laugh when he put the video together. 

“It’s hilarious to look at it back.”
