Many boxing fans were disappointed to hear that Tyson Fury was fighting Derek Chisora in a three-fight series. But Matthew Macklin wasn’t.

It seemed that we might finally get the fight everyone had been waiting for between Fury, and Anthony JoshuaBefore the year ends.

This is boxing so it was inevitable that the negotiations fell apart.

Instead, it appears that the Gypsy King is going to be up against them heavyweight veteran ChisoraOn December 3, in a trio bout.

They have already met twice before. FuryIn 2011, they won by unanimous decision. He then followed that up with a stoppage win in the rematch three year later.

This is not the fight many boxing fans have been waiting for. talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan even telling promoter, Frank Warren, “Nobody wants to see Tyson Fury fight Derek Chisora.”

Macklin (a former world title contender) believes that you are always in for an entertaining evening when Chisora comes into the ring.

Macklin stated that Del Boy would give everything he had in the ring with the 38 year-old, who is not afraid to get into a fight.

He said Boxing Social: “You know with Derek Chisora, he’s always going to bring the heat.

“He’s going to give it everything he’s got, he’s going to leave it all in the ring.

“Derek Chisora could fight anyone and I’d watch the fight and the same with Fury.

“So, I think it’s better that Fury stays active than not fight.

“Would we rather it be AJ, Usyk? We would.

“But, if that’s an impossibility, then I still think he’s doing the right thing by fighting.”
