Herschel Walker leverages Report on Abortion Allegations in Order to Get Money

  • According to a Daily Beast report, Herschel Walker paid for an abortion.
  • Walker denied the allegation, calling the report a “flat out lie”
  • On Wednesday, the senatorial candidate requested donations in light of these claims.

Herschel Walker was unable to resolve a rift in his Senate campaign following a report that claimed he had paid a woman for an abortifacient. However, the GOP candidate hopes it will be a positive moment to get support and donations.

Walker’s campaign referred to the allegations in an email sent Wednesday to his supporters. The Daily Beast storyIt was a “flat-out lie” by Democrats in an effort to “hold their majority at the Senate.” Georgia’s Senate seat is highly contested between Walker and incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock. If Walker wins, it could tip the Senate majority in favor of Republicans.

The email states that Walker “will fight to win this seat…but you need to stand by me.” There are options at the bottom to donate $5-100 to the Walker campaign.

This strategy is a repeat of Trump’s Save America PAC’s, which solicits donations for each scandal or bombshell report about the former president.

The following week FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resortTrump’s fundraising team sent an avalanche of emails to supporters asking for donations to “bolster” his Official Trump Defense Fund.

The PAC raised over $1 million for at least two consecutive days According to The Washington Post

Walker has denied repeatedly the claims that he paid a woman to have an abortion in 2009. This would go against his firm anti-abortion stand. The candidate stated previously that “there is no exception” to the procedure.

The campaign email stated that “This is yet another repugnant hatchet Job from a Democrat activist disguised as a journalist.” “Now, they’re using anonymous sources to further slander us.”

The Daily Beast reported the woman had shared a $575 abortion clinic receipt, as well as an image showing a $700 check signed and signed by Walker. Also included was a “get well” card with Walker’s signature. They also verified the details with a friend of this woman, who assisted her in caring for her after the abortion.
