Daffodil, a Chihuahua was left in a cardboard container by her owner after she discovered that her front paws were missing. For several days she lay crying in that cardboard box, on the streets of San Francisco.
People would lift her up, but she would make a horrible face and then place her back down once they realized her birth defect.

Daffodil, who was in terrible condition, was abandoned by a young male who quickly picked her up and brought to the SPCA.
The employees were hesitant about Daffodil’s chances of survival at first. The puppy blossomed after being loved and cared for. Daffodil did not know she was disabled. She only cared about being loved by her carers.

The workers were charmed by Daffodil’s spunky personality and decided to look past her physical deformities. They took special measurements to make a wheelchair for Daffodil.

In this video, we see Daffodil’s memorable first ride in her tiny wheelchair. She stumbles and falls, but there’s no looking back once she gets back up. She is a true fighter! The SPCA has also announced that one of Daffodil’s caretakers, Olivia, has agreed to be the spunky girl’s forever mom! Daffodil loves being a mom to her little princess!
