Henry Cavill has taken on Superman since then. His time as the superman has been very serious and brooding in films like Man of Steel And Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice. In a recent interview, however, with ScreenRantCavill revealed that things would be different if he put his cape on again. Cavill confirmed on 24 October that he would reprise his role as Superman after his brief appearance at the close of Black Adam.

During his discussion The Witcher actor wants to inspire his fans, and that is the “most important” aspect behind his return. “There is so much in the way of conversations to be had. Obviously, I have a very close connection to the character,” Cavill expressed about his return as the superhero.

“There is something extraordinarily special about him; extraordinarily special about his capacity to give and to love. I don’t mean romantically; I mean his love for Earth and for the people who live here, and to make people feel powerful — to make people feel like Superman themselves.”
Cavill added, “I have plenty of desires for this, of course, which will be discussed more in time. The most important thing that I want for my audience is to leave the cinema feeling like they can fly, feel safe, and feel like they have something to offer everyone else. That would be my goal.”
During his interview with The Happy and Sad Confused podcast, Cavill explained there is “a bright future ahead for the character” and added, “I’m so excited to tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman.” Fans theorized Cavill’s “enormously joyful” tease means that things would be quite different when he returns to the big screen, especially when compared to Zack Snyder’s version.
