A passerby called Animal Aid informing them about a homeless dog who was trapped in a hole. The rescuers were stunned when they arrived. The dog wasn’t stuck in the hole. Instead, he had climbed in to live there alone. He was severely wounded in his neck and was now slowly starving to death. He was able to receive help at the right time.

Poor pup gasped in pain when the rescuer pulled him out of the hole. The sweetie needed urgent medical attention and was immediately taken to the rescue centre. His wound was then cleaned and dressed.
They had to ensure that he ate enough to gain weight. At first, he was timid when the bowl was put in front of his face. But then he started to eat! As the pup’s health improved, he earned his new name: Dovey! This little warrior was determined to overcome all odds.

Dovey’s neck wound healed quickly considering its severity. The pup gained the weight that he needed. He also began to trust those around him.
