The Atlanta HawksForward De’Andre HunterThe team announced Monday that it had extended its contract. The deal is valued at $90 million and includes incentives of up to $5 million.
The deal was completed just before the 6 pm. ET deadline.
Hunter, drafted No. The 2019 NBA Draft drafted Hunter No. 4. He was entering the last year of his rookie agreement in 2022-23.
The 24-year old averaged 13.3 ppg, 3.3 rebound and 1.3 assists in 53 games last year. Hunter was plagued by injuries in his last two years of Atlanta. In fact, he played only 76 out of a possible total 164 games.
The Hawks begin the regular season Wednesday against their opponent, the Houston Rockets.
