GPay: How to Send Money
Google Pay allows you to send money to friends and family, regardless of whether you have lost a wager or need it to pay back your roommate for last months energy bill.
- You can open the Google Pay app.
- Scroll down to the People section of the main screen. Tap to open it
- Or, you can choose to send money directly to the person you prefer. Tap Pay friend/groupIf they don’t show up initially, you can find them in your contact list.
- The next screen will ask you to enter the amount you want to send your contact. You can also add a note or comment to your payment.
- Tap the Pay button.
- If you have an equired payment method, choose it.
- Once the money is successfully sent, you will receive confirmation.
How to Request Money in GPay
Requesting and receiving money is just as easy as sending it — which is great, since there’s nothing worse than chasing down money you’ve loaned out to friends.
- You can open the Google Pay app.
- Scroll down for the PeopleClick on the section you want to open, then tap the button.
- Select the person you wish to request money from. If they don’t show up, tap Pay friend or Group to locate them in your contacts.
- Enter the amountYou wish to make a request of your contact. Add a note for context.
- Tap Send an email.
- Once your request is sent, you will receive confirmation and a notification when payment has been received.Â

- The following screen will be displayed. Select the people you have in your contact listTo split a bill, you can choose who you want to do it with. To invite a contact to Google Pay, tap the Invite button.
