Apple might have just launched A new generation of AirPods ProIt has improved noise cancellation and other handy new features. iPhone 14 EventThe first-generation model is worth looking at, however, because of its frequent discounts. While the AirPods Pro carry a lofty $249 price tag — the same the second-gen version now sells for — they go on sale with some regularity. They were even reduced to $160 on Cyber Monday and Black Friday, for example. If you’re splitting hairs, Walmart has the slightly better price of $239 to Amazon’s $239.98. But we may have to wait some time for better deals than this, unless Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale surprises us next week.

If you opt for the second-gen Pros, you’re getting a similar-looking earbud to the 2019 model with most of the quality-of-life improvements on the inside. They have better noise cancellation, but it’s still not as good as Bose’s new QuietComfort Earbuds II. The usual Apple features are available with their integration into iOS and new case which can beep in the event you lose it.

They’re a little dated now, with sound quality that falls in the “okay” category, but they’re normally as cheap as you can get for Apple’s own line of wireless earbuds — complete with easy connectivity to iPhones, iPads, and Macs thanks to the built-in H1 chip. Ideally, you’d want to grab a set when they’re on sale for $99.99 or less.

The second-gen AirPods with an included wireless charging case are all but gone now, unless you’re shopping used or refurbished. Though, if you prefer that added convenience, it’s better to shop for a deal on the newer third-gen AirPods.

The last AirPods block item is the third-gen modelThis is the latest iteration base AirPods. These earbuds combine the AirPods Pro look and the harder plastic construction of the second-gen model. They also come with a MagSafe compatible wireless charging case. They are also IPX4 waterproof, have a better sound quality, and retail for $179.

We’ve seen the third-gen AirPods on sale for as low as $140, with a very brief flash sale drop them to just $89 for Walmart Plus subscribers, but they are currently available for a small discount of $10 off at WalmartAnd Target. The Galaxy Buds Pro were at their lowest point around $120. Perhaps now the Buds 2 Pro will be a better option (sounds like a good deal). That’s not a bad price for Samsung’s entry-level buds, and these Galaxy Buds 2 do hit above their weight class with noise cancellation and good audio quality, though they are prone to steeper discounts, sometimes dropping as low as $99.99.

The Galaxy Buds Live are some of the more unconventional wireless earbuds on the market, but don’t let their bean-shaped design fool you. If you are looking for smaller earbuds with powerful sound and long battery life, the Buds Live might be a good choice.
