Georgia Republican Says Herschel Walker ‘Hasn’t Earned My Respect’

  • Georgia’s Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan attacked the process that Herschel Walker was elected to the Senate.
  • Geoff claimed that Republicans only looked around to see if Trump was supporting them to pick their candidate.
  • Duncan stated to CNN that Herschel Walker had not earned my respect nor my vote.

Georgia’s Republican Lt. Governor. Geoff Duncan has expressed concern at Herschel’s election as the Republican Party’s choice for the state Senate race.

Duncan stated that Republicans need a senator to control the upper chamber. He criticized Walker’s selection as a GOP Senate Candidate.

“We didn’t question who was the greatest leader. We didn’t ask for the best resume. Duncan stated that Republicans looked around for Donald Trump’s support. “And he was an eminent football player, so he became our nominee. Now we are paying the price.”

Anderson Cooper, CNN anchor, asked Duncan if he would vote to endorse Walker. However, he said no, despite having spent the past decade “championing some the most conservative policies.”

Duncan stated, in reference to Walker’s Democratic opponent, “I’m not voting Raphael Warnock. And Herschel Walker hasn’t earned my respect and my vote.”

“And, you should know that I am like many other Republicans here in Georgia. We’re confused. We don’t — we don’t really have anywhere to go right now,” he added.

Insider reached out to Walker’s spokesperson and to the candidate’s lawyer for clarification, but they did not immediately respond.

Walker is trying to avoid a scandal after a bombshell reporting from The Daily Beast published this week. The outlet InterviewWalker’s mother said Walker was her child. After she was born in 2009, it cost her money to have an abortion..

Walker also signed the $575 receipt that was sent to her from the abortion clinic. Walker also shared an image of a get well card and a $700 cheque. Walker has Refuted that he paid any woman to have an abortionOn Monday, he told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he sends money to “a lot of people”.

An opinion piece published by the CNNSite on Thursday, Duncan also unloaded upon Walker and the GOP because he was chosen as the party’s Senate Candidate.

Duncan wrote, “If we want Americans to take us seriously we must take the first step and nominate candidates we should take seriously.” “This process is more than celebrity or fame. This requires leaders who can win elections and articulate a conservative vision of governing.
