Armando broja, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz all scored for Chelsea. It was a comfortable win that could have been much worse for the visitors.

Agbonlahor reflected on the GameDay Phone-In: “When I watch Wolves now – they can’t defend, they can’t attack, what can they do?

“Honestly mate, I’d be their top goalscorer.

“They’ve scored three goals Wolves this season. Nine games, they’ve scored three Premier League goals.

“They’re relying on a Diego Costa who’s past it.

“They’ve sold their best two centre-halfs Willy Boly and Conor Coady, I think Coady’s on loan.

Agbonlahor is far from impressed by Wolves

Agbonlahor was not impressed by Wolves

“And they just look a million miles off it.

“They can’t get near no-one, they’re going through the motions, and they are my bankers to get relegated.

“I’ve said it before with teams like this, no-one’s standing up to be counted.

“Adama Traore’s going through the motions on the right, Daniel Podence couldn’t score if there was a mannequin in goal, honestly he’s miles off it.

“If I’m a Wolves fan, I’m frightened for this season.”

Chelsea did not play their best team in the game. Several big names rested in between the Champions League group games against Milan.

The Blues beat the Italian champions on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge and will now face them at the San Siro.

Agbonlahor added: “Graham Potter looked at Wolves and said, ‘Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Reece James – have a little rest and I’ll play the players that haven’t had much game time.’

“He said, ‘Go on Christian Pulisic, go and get yourself a goal. Mason Mount, a little confidence. Kai Havertz, you can go and also get a goal. It’s only Wolves, the whipping boys.’

“He knows he’s playing a shambolic, embarrassing group of players.

“They’re awful mate, they’re awful.

“I’m watching them and I’m like, ‘They ain’t fighting for their fans that have travelled to go and watch the game in London.’

“They ain’t fighting for the club, they’re going through the motions.

“No-one even made a tackle today.”
