‘Friends’ Matthew Perry receives backlash for ‘Keanu Reeves still walks among us’ comment; apologises

In one section, while talking about the late actor River Phoenix and his friendship with him, Perry writes, “River was a beautiful man, inside and out — too beautiful for this world, it turned out. It is always the most talented men that go down. It is strange that Heath Ledger and River Phoenix are the ones who die, but Keanu Remeves lives on.

Perry, now 24, opened up about his addiction struggles. I could manage it, sort of. “But by the time that I was 34, it was too much trouble,” he said. PEOPLE. “But I was sober for many years. Season 9 was my last season sober. Guess which season I was nominated as best actor? “I was like, “That should tell you something.”

He was once down to 128 lbs because of his addiction. He stated, “I didn’t understand how to stop.” “If the police came to my home and said, “If you drink tonight we’re going take you to prison,” I would pack. Because the disease and addiction are progressive, I could not stop. As you get older, it only gets worse.

Although he does not want to reveal how long he has been sober for, he said, “It is important, but it does not mean that you have to lose all your time and education if you lose sobriety.” However, your sobriety date will change. As long as you are able to fight back and not die, you know everything.
