Foxconn Apple Supplier workers flee China’s Biggest iPhone Factory

Reports claim that workers from China’s biggest iPhone factory have fled the site in droves amid fears about COVID-19 restrictions.

Foxconn confirmed that it will continue to implement pandemic prevention strategies in Zhengzhou park. This includes setting up a hotline for employees 24 hours a day. The company stated that the outbreak has stabilized and that there is ample supply of daily necessities. 

Foxconn stated that some employees want to return home and the park has partnered with the government to arrange personnel and vehicles for a point to point orderly return service. Foxconn stated that the company will work with its other factories in order to minimize the impact on its production capacities.

Just as Apple enters its crucial holiday quarter, the Foxconn virus was discovered. Apple has already warned.
