Foster Dad Will Not Euthanize Puppy Born Without Front Legs. He Decides to Give him A Second Chance

Nobby the puppy was born with no front legs. Poor puppy was just four hours old at the time when the vet recommended that he be put to death.

Nubby’s owner, however, made a decisive decision.

Nobby had a hard start in life. His mom was not able to give him a nurse’s hand and he was born without front legs. His mother accepted him, but Nubby’s siblings pushed him away so that he couldn’t eat.

Additionally, Nobby was put down by the vet, regardless how much it hurt. The puppy was four hours old.

Lou Robinson from Texas, along with her husband Mark, has fostered and cared for unwanted and homeless dogs all her life. But she wanted something more.

They quickly decided to defy the vet’s suggestion and take care of Nobby themselves. Lou followed Nobby home. She and her husband looked after Nobby round the clock. They loved him and gave him food from a bottle.

It looked at first like Nobby was doing well.

“His eyes opened, his ears developed. You could hear him bark, he could smell and recognize voices,” Loui Robinson told The Dodo.

Things started to change.

Nobby began sneezing when he was just one month old. He couldn’t poop and small bubbles were coming out of his nose.

After an X-ray, it turned out that something was wrong with Nubby’s esophagus.

Nobby was put in an incubator and given antibiotics. The situation looked grave – but Nobby turned out to have a will and fighting spirit that was out of the ordinary.

He didn’t give up. He persevered. He fought. And his foster parents made sure he had a good life.

Nobby’s health improved over time. This little boy, now three years old, has proven that he’s a true survivor.

Nobby has faced many challenges in his life, but he is proving to the rest of the world that anything is possible. What’s more, the Robinsons have created their own Facebook PageSo people can follow his adventures.

Nobby feels better according to the recent updates and photos.

He is now a strong and sturdy dog. He loves to play and is curious about the world. He even has his very own wheelchair that makes it easier to move around and play.

Nobby is an inspiration! Although he is not like everyone else, he’s proof that being different does not matter.

Although the veterinarian believed he should be killed, Nobby proved that it was possible to save him with the help of Lou and Mark.

Please share this tribute to Lou and Mark and say thank you for their amazing work!
