Florida Paid an Aviation Company $615,000 for Migrants to Martha’s Vineyard

  • Last week, Martha’s Vineyard received 50 migrants on two planes. 
  • Florida Governor Rick Scott helped organize the planes. Ron DeSantis was the one who provided state funds for the transportation.
  • Florida paid more that half a million dollars to an airline company for the transportation. State records indicate this. WTSP reported. 

An Oregon-based aviation company was paid $615,000 by Florida using state funds to transport migrants aboard a plane from Texas, Texas to Martha’s Vineyard. WTSP reported. 

State records Vertol System Company Inc. was paid by Florida less than a week after 50 migrants were flown to Massachusetts.

DeSantis was coordinating the effort with Texas Governor. Greg Abbott and DeSantis were both Republicans who sharply criticised the Biden administration’s immigration policies. 

The migrants arrived on Wednesday without warning. Governor Ron DeSantis claimed ownershipThis was done to take responsibility for illegal migration at the Southern US Border by Democratic policies Forcing so-called sanctuary towns to accept responsibility

“I think we should continue to use all the tools at our disposal to shield Florida from any negative consequences of Hurricane Irma.” [Biden’s]Unsane border policies. DeSantis stated during a press conference that it includes transport assistance. 

DeSantis stated that he plans to make use of “every penny” from the $12 million Florida has budgeted for migrants relocation. CNN reported. 

He stated that these are just the beginning. “We have the infrastructure in place. There will be many more.
