Hugo Ekitike 76 (+15) – The title of the most improved player on FIFA 23 goes to French 20-year-old Ekitike, with a massive +15 upgrade. Reims forward Ekitike had a great season last year in Ligue 1 with 10 goals in 24 league games. The forward’s impressive goalscoring record attracted attention from Europe, but it was French champions Paris Saint-Germain which secured his signature.
Tino Livramento 75 (+14) – Right on Ekitike’s tail is Southampton full-back Livramento, who impressed in the Premier League last season. Last term, the England Under-21 international scored once in 28 league games and impressed with his intense defending and intensity. Expect him to be a popular player in Ultimate Team ‘starter’ squads.
Warmed Omari 75 (+14). – Omari is another emerging French talent who impressed in Ligue 1 for Rennes last campaign and won two caps for his national team’s under-21 side as a reward. You should not be surprised to see the big clubs approach the central defender, as he is among the best prospects at his position in the league.
Vitinha 79 (+12) – Wolves fans, look away. Vitinha had the option to sign with Wolves after 2020-21 season. He starred last campaign for Porto, earning him a huge-money transfer to PSG. This +12 increase is a reflection of how fast the three-cap Portugal international has risen onto the European scene.
Nicolo Casale 76 (+12) – The first entrant from Serie A, Casale has recently switched from Hellas Verona to Lazio. He is an older-fashioned defender, who excels at positioning and in the air.
Fran Navarro 75 (+12) – Navarro scored 16 goals in 32 league matches for Portuguese club Gil Vicente last season and the 24-year-old has started this season in similar goalscoring form.
Castello Lukeba 76 (+11) – Also known as Castello Jr, he is yet another French entrant from Ligue 1. The 19-year-old is quick with the ball and was nominated for the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award. Although he is still a young prospect, his physical attributes will make him a popular member of Ultimate Team.
Nico Schlotterbeck 82 (+10) – The highest-rated entrant so far, Schlotterbeck had an outstanding season for Freiburg last campaign, earning him a move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. The centre-back has already won four caps for Germany and could play an important role for Hansi Flick’s side at the 2022 World Cup.
Wilfried singo 76 (+10) – As a 6ft 3in (190cm) wing-back, Singo is one of the most unique players on this list. Singo has a smooth, linear pace. He also has the Ivorian motors that easily move the wing for Torino. He is sometimes prone to making a defensive error, but he compensates for it by his technical skills in attack.
Djed Spence 75 (+10) – Spence’s exploits for Nottingham Forest in the Championship earned him a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur, and his future in north London looks extremely bright. Spence is currently a member the England Under-21 team, and it shouldn’t be long until he earns the respect of Antonio Conte as a Premier League regular.
Georginio Rutter 75 (+10) – With reported interest from Real Madrid, Hoffenheim will be delighted to retain the services of French under-21 international forward Rutter. The 20-year old forward is intelligent, well-rounded and has the potential for growth. He’s now rated 75 on Ultimate Team so he could be a valuable player to help build an early squad.
Pierre Kalulu 78 (+9) – Another member of France’s supremely talented under-21 squad, Kalulu is arguably the most accomplished entrant thus far. Kalulu, along with Fikayo Tomori, was called into central defense after Simon Kjaer, a Danish international, suffered an injury. AC Milan won the Serie A title last season for the first time in ten years. Kalulu, a centre-back who has 80 pace, will be a popular choice for the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team’s early weeks.
Patrick Wimmer 76 (+9) – Having already won a senior international cap for Austria, Wimmer’s form for Arminia Bielefeld put him on the radar of the big Bundesliga sides and earned him a move to Wolfsburg this summer. Wimmer’s 85 pace and 77-dribbling make him a useful weapon in Ultimate Team’s right midfield. He could also be used on career mode, where his potential is high.
Josip Sutalo 75 (+9) – The 22-year-old central defender became a key player for Dinamo Zagreb last season, with his exploits earning him his first cap for Croatia. His impressive pace rating of 78 is impressive, as well as solid 76 and77 attributes for physical and defense.
Malo Gusto 75 (+9) – The second Lyon entrant into the top 15, Gusto is a top prospect at right-back who will be popular on Ultimate Team. The 19-year old has won four caps for France Under-21s, and is a highly rated prospect within Ligue 1. He has a great pace and is ideal for building a team.
Aaron Ramsdale 82 (+8) – Ramsdale is a player who fans of the Premier League will be very familiar with. His spells at Bournemouth United (and Sheffield United) earned him a dream transfer to Arsenal, where he flourished under MikelArteta.
David Raum 81 (+7) – A standout for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last season, Raum’s impressive form at left wing-back earned him a move to RB Leipzig, where he will have the opportunity to play in the Champions League.
Piero Hincapie 78 (+8) – As the first South American entrant on this list, it was Hincapie’s solid form for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen that earned him a sizable upgrade. Hincapie, who is only 20 years old, has won 19 caps for Ecuador. He promises to be a future star.
Deniz Undav 77 (+8) – Undav’s impressive goalscoring form for Belgian First Division side Union Saint-Gilloise earns him a significant upgrade for FIFA 23. The German striker has returned to parent club Brighton & Hove Albion, where he has made three league appearances without scoring.
Hugo Duro 77 (+8) – Duro’s loan move to Valencia last season — where he scored seven goals in 30 league appearances — prompted the La Liga club to sign him permanently from Getafe. The 22-yearold is a strong finisher and could be able to make his way into Ultimate Team’s starter teams.
Davide Frattesi 77 (+8) – After establishing himself in the Sassuolo first team following a series of loan spells, Frattesi quickly ascended to becoming one of their key players and an Italy international. The 22 year-old box-tobox midfielder has attracted the attentions of many top Italian clubs this summer. He could be poised for a big move next season if his performance continues to improve.
Manu Kone 77 (+8) – Yet another French under-21 international on the list, Kone is one of the most versatile, technically proficient and athletic midfielders in the Bundesliga. Borussia Monchengladbach’s talent is 6 feet 1in (685cm) tall. His diverse attributes could make him a favorite player in Ultimate Team or career mode.
Anthony Gordon 75 (+8) – Gordon has had a flying start to the 2022-23 Premier League season, continuing the fine form he displayed last season. Subject to Chelsea’s interest, the 21 year-old is an established England Under-21 international, and a key player for Everton.
Jacob Ramsey 75 (+8) – Under Steven Gerrard, Ramsey went to another level last season for Aston Villa. The 21-year old is athletic, intelligent, and capable of scoring miraclegoals. He will be an integral player in his boyhood club for many years to come.
Ansgar Knauff 75 (+8) – Contracted to Borussia Dortmund but currently on loan to fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, Knauff is another star set to break through from the famed Dortmund academy. Knauff can play on the frontline, although he is primarily a winger.
