Bollywood star Nora Fatehi has been added to the ranks of pop icons Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Lopez.
Nora Fatehi is reportedly set to represent India at this year’s FIFA World Cup which will be held in Qatar.
The reports indicate that the Dilbar DilbarStar will perform at the tournament in December but details are being kept secret. Nora will be the only Indian actor on the FIFA World Stage, representing South East Asia and India in particular.
Bollywood actress and dancer Shashi Tharoor will be seen in the music video for the FIFA anthem. She will sing and perform. RedOne, one the most influential record producers of history, produced this song. They have also worked on FIFA anthems including Shakira’s Waka Waka La La La.
Nora posted a video of herself performing the anthem on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Sharing the post, she wrote, “This time for FIFA World Cup the official worldcup anthem with a touch of diversity “Light the Sky” save the date 07/10/22 !”
The video also features Emirati singer Balqees Fali, Moroccan singer Manal Benallikha, as well as Rahma Riadh.
Qatar hosts the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the Middle East. 32 nations will be taking part in this much-anticipated global tournament. Over a million people are expected to visit the Arab country from around the globe.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 begins on November 20th, and ends on December 18.
