Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a famous actor, but what you probably didn’t know is that he’s also a dog lover. He was intrigued when he saw some puppies being sold out of a box in Venice Beach.
Jeffrey asked Jeffrey about the puppy in the bottom of his box. He was selling it for $350. They told him that the puppy barely moves and it probably wouldn’t even make it through the night. He chose that one.
Jeffrey took out a $20 bill to give to the dogs dying. He knew he had to give her a chance even though it didn’t look good. He took her to see a vet who said that while he would do whatever was possible, her chances of survival were slim.
It wasn’t long after that the tiny pup perked up a bit and started drinking puppy formula from a bottle. Jeffrey now had high hopes and introduced the puppy to Bandit, his other dog. Bandit immediately took to the puppy. This gave the puppy another reason to fight and persevere! 🙂
Jeffrey Dean Morgan shared his heartwarming story on Bonnie Hunt’s talk show in 2009. “I bottle fed her for a month, and she used to kiss her way around, which is how she got her name Bisou — it means ‘kiss’ in French,” he said.
Jeffrey had her name inked on his arm to remember her incredible fight for life. She’ll forever be a part of him.
Bisou has crossed the Rainbow Bridge after 12 happy years. Bisou started out with very little chance of survival, but she ended up living a long and healthy life. And it’s all thanks to Jeffrey Dean Morgan for stepping in and taking a chance when no one else would.
