Ex-Facebook Exec Said Musk: Stop Firing Engineers Who Correct Him

Now, after Reduction of 50%Musk was one of the Twitter staff members earlier this month. Some of them were fired of Twitter’s remaining workers who have taken to the social media platform to refute claims Musk has made about the company. 

Many Musk’s followers have praised the firings, but it has also drawn some critics, including Alex Stamos, former chief security officer at Facebook. 

Musk recently tweeted about Twitter’s slow performance in developing world and its poor user experience with Android. Source of one of his spats with a now-former employee. 

Stamos posted on Twitter Tuesday advice about Twitter’s lag. He ended his thread with the words, “stop firing top engineers for correcting clear misstatements.”

From 2015 to 2018, Stamos served as Facebook’s chief safety officer. He didn’t immediately respond to a request to comment. 

Musk dismissed Eric Frohnhoefer as a Twitter engineer on Sunday because he had publicly refuted one of Musk’s tweets. told ForbesMonday’s announcement by Musk that he had taken over the company for $44 billion was a sign that the company’s culture has been “downhill”. This official takeover took place late last month.
