‘Enola Holmes 2’: From Eudoria’s disappearance to John Watson’s debut; the film has many unsolved mysteries

Enola Holmes, one of the youngest Holmes singlings, has returned to the big screen for her sequel. As one of the beloved literary crime detectives, Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock HolmesMany media have adapted and interacted with it. Of the many interpretations, one is Nancy Springer’s novella The Enola Holmes MysteriesIn this instance, she gave Sherlock a younger sibling.

Enola Holmes 2The story shows how the protagonist, now a detective for hire, has just opened a new agency after the success of her previous case. It turns out that it goes as planned. Enola is closing her matchstick factory and a young girl approaches her to help her find her sister.

Her second case has many more conundrums than Enola expected, with many threads connecting to Sherlock’s (Henry Cavill) ongoing case, that eventually led them to join forces. The movie had many surprises for both siblings, and Conan Doyle’s stories. Although they had solved the case, there were many unanswered questions, which could be a potential source of inspiration for the next installation.

Where was Mycroft Holmes?

Mycroft (Sam Claflin), the eldest Holmes sibling, was present in the original film. Since Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter), their mother, did not raise them traditionally, Mycroft became Enola’s guardian when Eudoria disappeared. Enola Holmes was not impressed by Mycroft’s belief that his sister should have a traditional education. In the sequel, however, he was absent. However, during Enola Holmes’ filming, Claflin was unavailable. His absence was felt in the film, but there was no reason. It is possible to assume that he is working elsewhere and that the siblings don’t see each other.

Eudoria continues to disappear

After Eudoria disappeared on Enola’s 16th birthday, she had no option but to become a detective to find her mother. But Eudoria’s cards and clues help the girl to discover where her mom has been hiding, and she soon discovers that Eudoria is a member of militant suffragettes. Although the revelation was made, it is unclear why Eudoria, Edith (Susie Wokoma), and other bomb-builders are so prolific. Their plans are still elusive and Edith (Susie Wokoma)’s reasons for disappearing are not.

She was able to return at the end Enola HolmesThe question was not answered in the sequel. Eudoria, Edith, and her friend, Edith, help Enola get out of prison. She then leaves for good.

Tewkesbury as Enola’s Sidekick

In the first movie, Enola meets Viscount Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) while investigating her mother’s disappearance. He ran away from the man who attempted to kill his grandmother. With Enola’s help, he figured his grandmother was a traditionalist who did not want him to vote for the reform bill, which became her first case.

He returns to Enola Holmes 2 As a reformer in House of Lords while trying to win Enola over. By The end Enola and Tewkesbury are seen together in the film as Enola assists Sherlock with the mystery. It seems like he will end up as her sidekick, akin to Dr Watson’s relationship with Sherlock.

Sherlock and Enola

It was the two’s continued effort that helped them to uncover the truth. Mira Troy a.k.a. the villain was responsible for everything. Moriarty (Sharon Duncan-Brewster), which led to her and Lord McIntyre’s arrest (Tim McMullan). While Enola ‘proved’ her worth as Sherlock’s sister, they also realised that they must not be alone. However, Enola wishes to make her name instead of walking in her brother’s shadow, so she decides to turn down the offer of working together. They may collaborate in future installments, as Moriarty is still at large.

Moriarty’s Return

Moriarty has been solving Sherlock’s puzzles for a while now, and she knows his sister is equally as clever. In Conan Doyle’s works, Moriarty is Sherlock’s enemy, by that extension, she may return in some way. Moriarty is known for manipulating and being stealthy in covering his tracks. Moriarty could be the archenemy to Sherlock and Enola. However, it is not clear who she will target first when she returns.

John Watson

Moriarty is joined by Dr John Watson (Himesh Ptel), who makes an appearance at the film’s end. Although his absence from the first film raised some questions, it was not surprising that he made a brief appearance at the end of the film. Watson’s introduction is exciting because the next installations of Enola Homes may have the accuracy of the Sherlock Holmes novella. Moreover, it also is important if Sherlock Holmes featuring Cavill and Patel’s version to get its spinoff.

Sherlock Holmes Characters

Since Moriarty and Watson were in Conan Doyle’s Sherlock HolmesThere are also questions about the characters. Although it could make Enola and her cases lose the spotlight, it could work if Enola is as involved in the film’s plot as Sherlock. Irene Adler, Mary Morstan, Colonel Sebastian Moran and other such characters can come into Enola’s world. Of this, Moran’s appearance seems more of a possibility because he is Moriarty’s right hand. Enola Holmes It has a bright future ahead, especially considering how the movie melded fact with fiction and showed that women can also be great detectives.
