- Musk fired Frohnhoefer along with two other engineers because he was critical of his tweets regarding running the company.
CNN was told by a Twitter software engineer who disagreed with Elon Musk. It was discovered that he had been firedAfter his friend showed him Musks’s tweet, he said “he’s fired.”
Eric Frohnhoefer the engineer said “noone even reached out from Twitter” to inform him about the termination.
Musk clashed with him on Monday. On Monday, the Twitter owner announced in a now-deleted post that Frohnhoefer was fired. A few hours later, Frohnhoefer tweeted, “Guess it is official now.” Frohnhoefer also posted a picture of his Mac locked.

The spat started when Musk posted an apology for Twitter’s slowness in some countries. Frohnhoefer replied that he had worked on Twitter for Android for six years and was wrong.
Frohnhoefer asked Musk to correct him. What number is correct? And then another reply was received that stated, “Twitter runs super slow on Android. What did you do to fix it?
Frohnhoefer posted a series now-deleted Tweets. Musk’s reply“We have done a lot to improve performance,” and there’s “plenty” of room for improvement.
Frohnhoefer, in a CNN interview Monday evening after his firing, said that he was willing to give Musk’s leadership a shot and was still in the “wait and see” camp.

Meanwhile, he told the news show that “everything that has been reported is true,” and that working at Twitter under Musk is a “total sh-t show.”
Insider reached out to Twitter and Frohnhoefer for comment but they did not immediately respond.
