Eastern Michigan forward Emoni Bates has been “immediately reinstated to all athletic and campus activities” following the dismissal of felony charges against him, per a statement from EMU Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee.

Washtenaw County police pulled Bates over after he failed to stop at an intersection. They also found a firearm in the investigation, WXYZ-7 local television station reported. According to the arrest records, Bates, aged 18, was charged with concealing a weapon and altering ID marks. He was taken into custody at Washtenaw county jail.
