Elon Musk’s begins laying off Twitter employees

We will be reducing the global workforce to help Twitter get on a healthier path. We recognize that this will impact a number of individuals who have made valuable contributions to Twitter, but this action is unfortunately necessary to ensure the company’s success moving forward.

Due to the nature of our distributed workforce, and our desire for as quick as possible communication with the affected people, this process will be done via email. Everyone will receive an email with the subject: Your Role on Twitter. Please verify your email and your spam folder.

– You will be notified via Twitter if your employment is not affected.

You will receive an email notification from your personal email with the next steps if your employment is at risk.

– If you do not receive an email from twitter-hr@ by 5PM PST on Friday Nov. 4th, please email peoplequestions@twitter.com.

Our offices will be temporarily shut down to protect employees and customers. All badge access will also be suspended. Please return to your home if you are at an office or traveling to an office.

This is a difficult experience that we all have to deal with, regardless of whether you are directly or indirectly affected. We appreciate your continued compliance with Twitter policies prohibiting you from sharing confidential company information via social media with the press and other outlets.
