Tesla CEO Elon Mussl welcomed Kanye West back to Twitter after his Instagram account was blocked on Saturday. He then switched social networks and tweeted for the first times since 2020.

Insider received confirmation from Instagram that it had placed a restriction on West’s account. It did not give details but deleted some of West’s content, as it violated the app’s policies. A spokesperson said that accounts that violate the platform’s community guidelines repeatedly may be banned from commenting, posting, and sending direct messages. Meta declined to comment on the posts that were removed from West’s account or the policy he broke.
Musk is currently in discussions to buy Twitter. West has been friends with Musk since at most 2011. The tech mogul is a billionaire. The artist was his greatest inspirationHe was highly praised for his work. Musk and Zuckerberg are in a much more fragile relationship.
Both tech CEOs have been at odds in the past. This feud was first started in 2016. after a SpaceX rocket explosion destroyed a Facebook satellite nearby. Musk is cofounder and CEO at SpaceX.

Musk and West are well-known for their compulsive use of social media, but on different platforms. In March, West’s Instagram account got suspended after he posted offensive comments about Kim Kardashian, Trevor Noah, Pete Davidson, and others.
West shared screenshots on Friday of “abbreviated text” between him and Tremaine Emory, the creative director of Supreme Fashion Label. The images were discussing fashion designer Virgil Abloh’s death from cancer last year.
It is unclear what recent post caused the account restriction.
