Elizabeth Holmes to Receive Sentencencing within Days after Being Denied a New Trial

Monday’s judge denied the three motions she made to have her case remanded.

Holmes wanted a new trial because Adam Rosendorff, the former director of Theranos’ lab, was not present. He allegedly visited her home in August, and expressed regret at his testimony for her conviction.The claim was that prosecutors made the blood-testing startup’s problems look worse than they actually were.

Holmes said that she was denied emails from prosecutors indicating that they failed to take proper steps to preserve Theranos databases. Holmes claims these emails would have helped her in her trial.
