Electric ‘Drone Taxi’ Takes Flight in Paris — Take a Look

According to the report, $182 million in funding was secured by the company at the beginning of November. TechCrunch. 

According to the outlet the funds will be used to fund the company’s testing program. Volocopter plans on certifying the aircraft in 2023, and the second-half of 2023.

TechCrunch said that the funds will be added on to the $170 million Volocopter Funds raised in March.

Christian Bauer, Volocopter’s Chief Commercial Officer, BloombergThe company wanted the eVOTLs as innovative as Tesla cars, as they grew in size. 

He said that Tesla began with a 2-seater when the battery technology was not available. Now, they are the most valuable brand in the world. “That’s where I want to go.”
