When he approached her, he noticed her back legs were bent and swelling, as well as her front leg.
A good Samaritan discovered a sweet Beagle/Hound mix on a construction site. This area is known for dropping dogs. When this dog was found, she couldn’t get up and appeared to be called in the cold lying in the dirt for a couple of days.
Stray Rescue of St.Louis arrived at the scene and rescued him. Before they arrived, the caller had given the dog his blanket and had provided food for the dog.
She had clearly broken her legs and was then taken into the jeep. She didn’t even make a peep. The young dog suffered multiple fractures in both her legs and was immediately taken to the vet.
Unfortunately, the damage was severe and she needed to raise money in order to pay for the necessary surgery. Polar Express, that’s what they called the dog, features a long road ahead to repair and recover.
