The dog, who was seen walking the streets of Curaçao, alarmed many people not only because of his sad-looking face but also because a rope was lodged in his neck, inflicting significant wounds.
This animal was suffering from chronic mange, high temperatures, and neck ache. Additionally, the animal’s skin was clearly infected.
He was in desperate need of food and drink. Several villages offered to help him, but they couldn’t do more as he was too scared to let anyone approach him.

He suffered severe injuries from the rope that was tied around his neck, and it was this negligence that caused him to lose so much of the care he needed.
Many dogs in Curaçao continue to be chained or tied with ropes without a collar, either because their owners are oblivious to the potential harm they may inflict or out of laziness.
