Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness ($955M), Thor: Love and Thunder($761M) Wakanda Forever: Black PantherThese are only a few movies that contributed to this milestone, which has reached $381M. 20th Century Studios was one of those movies. Death on the Nile($138M), and Pixar’s Lightyear($227M), are also included in the mix.
Wakanda Forever: Black PantherIt has grossed $205M in the US and $176M internationally, since its release this weekend. Ryan Coogler’s sequel was the highest-grossing Hollywood movie of the pandemic era in terms of opening weekend worldwide. It also broke several records.
The movie features Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri, M’Baku(Winston Duke), Okoye [Danai Gurira] and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fighting to defend their land from the intervening world powers following King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans move into their next chapter, they must unite and forge a new path with the support of War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman). Tenoch Huerta plays Namor, the king in a secret undersea realm.
