Disney World’s surprise turns into a nightmare when a truck belonging to a family is stolen in Florida

For a family who had their truck stolen from their hotel during their stay in the “happiest” place on earth, it turned out to be a bad turn. Walt Disney World vacation.

“We decided that we would surprise them by taking them to Orlando for some days,” Cassidy McClendon said to Fox 35.

The surprise vacation was planned by the couple for their young children’s birthdays. However, the white 2007 Ford F-250 pickup truck, which had been in the garage at the property, was stolen on the morning of the second. Comfort Suites at Major Boulevard.

“He was like, ‘Where’s my truck?’ I can see it in his face. Pale. He was going to weep.” Fox 35 interview with Cassidy

And to make matters worse, it wasn’t the only thing taken. The thief stole more than just his wallet.They stole their truck but also valuables like iPads and Apple watches, car seats, and Ryan’s tool box.

“We were locked in our hotel room for the entire day. The kids were extremely upset.” Cassidy agreed.

Cassidy claimed that they were able take the children to Disney on the day their truck was stolen. However, it did put a damper to their vacation. 

“We’ve been trying to take the kids to Disney every year and this definitely hit hard.” 

Besides the truck, thieves also took iPads, Apple watches and car seats.

McClendon’s made a police report. Orlando Police DepartmentThe family’s truck is missing and the agency is trying to find the vehicle and any valuables.

“I know this sounds impossible, but I urge you to keep your eyes open for our truck!” Cassidy posted the following Facebook message.
