Oksana Savchuk, a Russian animal rescuer, has years of experience and a deep love for tiny animals. One day, she and her colleagues came upon a Shepherd who was pacing on the pavement. He closed his eyes and struggled to breathe when they approached him. He seemed to be giving up on life.
The dog’s front legs were badly injured and infected, the rescuers noticed. The rescuers wrapped the dog in blankets and started first aid immediately. During treatment, the dog was totally dependent on staff members and didn’t attempt to move. After the treatment, he quickly regained consciousness and smiled at the volunteers.
He was taken to the shelter and given care. Oskana, who was driving him to the shelter with care, gave him a gentle pet and assured that he wasn’t being abused and would never be homeless.
When the recovered Shepherd heard those words, he sobbed and laid obediently into Oskana’s arms—a magnificent, unforgettable scene. He was named Jack.
