Jackson State’s Deion Sanders Alabama State’s Eddie Robinson Jr. had a heated interaction at midfield on Saturday after the Tigers’ 26-12 win over the Hornets.
Sanders and Jackson State is pickedThey won their 12th consecutive SWAC win and Robinson went to meet Robinson after the game for a handshake.
The two slapped hands and Sanders appeared to go in for a closer hug before Robinson put his hand on Sanders’ chest. Robinson then pulled his hand away, and walked back to his locker room. Sanders was shocked by the exchange and asked what was happening.

Robinson’s beef with Sanders was likely a result of the trash talk he and other MLB players had during the days before the game. He was particularly focused on Alabama State choosing Jackson State to be their homecoming match.
“It was brilliant to invite us there because you’re going to make some money. But what happens when you have money? Sanders said. “… All money ain’t good money.”
Robinson didn’t appear to take too kindly to Sanders’ comments and was apparently miffed Sanders didn’t greet him before the game. He played at Alabama StateBefore becoming the head coach in 2021, he had an 11 year NFL career.

Robinson stated that he was “living on shoulders of the SWAC” while suggesting that Sanders wasn’t living up the standards.
“He ain’t SWAC. Robinson, via ESPN. Robinson said that he is SWAC and he ain’t SWAC. Robinson said, via ESPN. But you won’t disrespect me or my school, and then ask for a bro hug. “Shake my hand, and I’ll get rid of you.”
Robinson received a rebuttal from Sanders.
He stated, “I am not one to return the next day and that you are going to pick-up the phone and apologize and we will straighten.” “No. Not at all. You meant that mess. One of the comments that most disturbed me was that I wasn’t SWAC. Who is? I got time today. If I don’t have SWAC, who is SWAC? If I don’t SWAC, who is SWAC?

Jackson State’s season score improved to 5-0 and 3-0 in SWAC. Alabama State was 3-3, and ranked 1-2 in the conference.
