Fans of the film franchise Deadpool WolverineWe were thrilled when Hugh Jackman was announced to be playing Wolverine again in the MCU movie.
Ryan Reynolds stars in the upcoming superhero film. Hugh Jackman will be seen for the first-time as Wolverine, after he retired from the role in 2017. LoganJames Mangold directed the film.
A recent interview was conducted with ColliderRyan Reynolds talked about Jackman’s return in his beloved role.
Canadian actor and 46-year old Canadian American actor claimed that he was the one who originally pitched Deadpool-Wolverine MCU films after the Disney-Fox merger. But Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige turned down the proposal.
“I think you’re giving me too much credit,” the actor said. “I don’t believe that I’m responsible for Hugh coming back. I always wanted Hugh to come back.”
“My first meeting with Kevin Feige when Disney bought Fox years ago, maybe three years ago, or three and a half, four years ago, I’m not sure, was about doing a movie with the two of us, a Deadpool Wolverine movie,” Ryan explained. “And that was not possible at the time.”
Explaining that it was Hugh Jackman who himself initiated his return, the actor added, “then Hugh just happened to call at that perfect moment and express that he’d be interested in coming back and doing this one more time.”
He continued, “he expressed interest in coming back, and then it was my job to take that to Kevin Feige one more time and sell it.”
