DC Universe Infinite has launched the Ultra Tier so that you can start reading new comics earlier

DC’s adding a new Ultra tierTo its Universe Infinite comic-book subscription service, which allows you to digitally read comics within a month of them hitting store shelves (via Gizmodo). The new tier is available at an initial price of $99 per year. This price will not be extended past November 28th. DC hasn’t yet provided any information about the cost.

The current requirement is that users wait six months before they can access a new DC Universe Infinite issue. While the new tier could make the service more attractive to diehard comic book fans, it’s considerably more expensive than the $74.99 / year or $7.99 / month standard subscription option.

In addition to a shorter launch window, DC’s throwing in 5,000 exclusive titles from Vertigo, DC Black Label, and Collected Editions, bringing the total of available comics to over 32,000 for Ultra subscribers.
