CNN analyst criticizes Biden’s claim that he will not do anything differently after the midterms: “That’s insulting people.”

Gloria Borger, CNN’s political analyst, knocked President BidenOn Wednesday, he stated that he would do nothing different after the results of the midterms in 2022. 

Although the Republicans did not achieve a “red wave”, they still plan to take control of the House of Representatives, while the Senate remains in their hands. 

Biden was asked by reporters Wednesday what he would change in the next two-years, given that 75% believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.

Biden replied “Nothing”. “Because they’re just finding out what we’re doing. Because they’re just finding out what we’re doing. They’ll be more open to learning about what we do. Do you know anyone who wants us not to make the same changes on prescription drug prices? Or raise them again? Are you aware of anyone who wants us not to build those bridges, roads, and internet?

Biden later stated that the legislation he had passed in Congress “takes some time” to become effective.

Borger voiced concern about Biden’s remarks after the press conference.

“Sort of the thing that struck me, which is when he was asked, ‘Would you change anything?’ He said, ‘No,'” Borger said during a panel discussion. 75% believe that the country is heading in the wrong directions. Seventy-five per cent believe that we’re in recession. And then the president, you know, in a way to try to brag about himself and what he’s done… he said he just wouldn’t do anything different because. Our achievements are not immediately recognized. 

“It’s insulting to people. Borger stated, “That’s insulting.”

Republicans poised to retake power House of RepresentativesHowever, the margin was much smaller than expected. As the Senate is still in balance, the races in Arizona (and Nevada) are yet to be called. The Georgia race is heading into a runoff.
